Lorraine Petelo, the academic committee chairman of Lincoln University in New Zealand, led a delegation to visit the school of Food Science and Engineering on the morning of 11thSept.,2017. Prof. Zeng Xin-An, the dean of the school,warmly received the delegation and communicated with them in order to achieve the international cooperation.
At first, Dean. Zeng introduced the basic situation of the school, including constitute of the school, faculties and students, discipline and research basements, foreign experts, existing international cooperation, pilot plantand equipments. Subsequently, Lorraine Petelo made a presentation to the reception group aboutbasic situation of Lincoln University, consisting of tradition and history, campus environment, international rankings, structure of the university, subjects, degree system and cooperation for the new century. In addition,Prof. Charles Brennan made a detailed description of the study conditions and the daily life of students in Lincoln University. After that, the two sides discussed in-depth on the joint training of postgraduatesand doctoral students based on the subject of food science. They have reached a consensus on visits of teachers and students, cooperative teaching and international academic communication.
Finally, Dean.Zeng presented souvenirs to the delegation of Lincoln University on behalf of the school. The visiting of the delegation deepen the mutual understanding.
