In 2006, the school was authorized to grant doctoral degree in the first-level discipline of 'Environmental Science and Engineering'. In 2007, 'Environmental Engineering' became the only key discipline in Guangdong Province and in 2012, it ranked the 14th in the third round of national discipline assessment. In 2016, the National Engineering Laboratory of Volatile Organic Pollution Control Technology and Equipment was approved. In 2017, environmental science and ecology in our school entered the top 1% of global ESI for the first time. In the fourth round of National Discipline Assessment in 2017, the school ranked the eighth of the whole country and ranked as A-minus level.

II. Position, Salary and Related Benefits
Postdoctoral positions are set as Ⅰ, Ⅱ,and Ⅲ with an annual salary from 200,000 to 320,000 yuan (before tax). Postdoctoral candidates who are eligible for the introduction plan of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of Guangdong Province can attain an annual salary of 250,000 to 470,000 yuan (before tax) during the project funding period.
Social insurance will be paid and housing provident fund will be offered according to the standards of the same level; Children of postdocs can be enrolled in affiliated schools and kindergartens.
Subsidy will be offered for renting an apartment.
The co-supervisor can provide additional post-doctoral research funds and performance awards.
Postdoctoral fellows can apply for ' tenure-track ' teaching and research series or full-time research series after the postdoc employment term.
III. Recruitment requirements
Applicants should abide by the law and discipline and have no violation of discipline and regulations. Applicants should own passion of higher education and should be physically and mentally healthy with good conduct and professional ethics, usually under 35 years old.
Applicants should have received their PhD degree for no more than 3 years, or have passed the defense of their doctoral dissertation of this year.

1. Team introduction
National Engineering Laboratory for VOC Pollution Control Technology and Equipment
Professor Ye Daiqi, dean of the School of Environment and Energy at SCUT, is in charge of the National Engineering Laboratory. The National Engineering Laboratory is the first national engineering laboratory led by South China University of Technology and the only national engineering laboratory led by a university in Guangdong Province. In view of the current situation of weak independent innovation ability of VOCs governance, insufficient basic supporting ability, low reliability of equipment operation and unreasonable industrial structure in China, South China University of Technology, as the leading unit, cooperates with a number of industry university research and application units to build the National Engineering Laboratory of VOC pollution control technology and equipment, in order to meet the needs of air pollution control and environmental protection industry upgrading and development.
The National Engineering Laboratory aims to improve the ability of independent innovation and core competitiveness of the industry. Aiming at the problems of weak VOCs governance technology and low operational reliability of key materials and equipment in China, the Laboratory carries out strategic and forward-looking joint tackling. Relying on the advantages and foundation formed in the development, engineering and industrialization of VOCs Pollution Control Technology and overall solutions for typical scale enterprises and industrial parks, the laboratory would improve the VOCs pollution control technology and equipment level, promote the innovation and development of relevant industries, develop state-of-art products and technical equipment that embody the comprehensive national strength and international competitiveness, and meet the needs of national economic development.
Introduction of SCUT
South China University of Technology (SCUT), located in Guangzhou, is a national key university directly under the administration of the Ministry of Education. The campus is divided into Wushan Campus, University Town Campus and Guangzhou International Campus. It is the first 'National Civilized Campus' winning unit. Proficient in in-situ transmission electron microscopy, spherical aberration correction projection electron microscopy is preferred.
