On the evening of December 14, 2025, the final of the "Top Ten Model Classes on Campus" Selection Activity for the 2024-2025 academic year of South China University of Technology was held in the Academic Lecture Hall of the University Town Campus. After fierce competition, the Class of Environmental Engineering, Grade 2023 of our School won the honorary title of "Top Ten Model Classes on Campus" of South China University of Technology for the 2024-2025 academic year by virtue of its excellent class atmosphere, academic style and strong cohesion.

Introduction to the Award-winning Class 

The Class of Environmental Engineering, Grade 2023 is a pioneering and progressive class composed of 55 students. Ideologically, the class actively encourages students to move closer to the Party organization. Currently, there are 4 CPC probationary members, 3 development targets and 46 Communist Youth League members. In student work, 16 students serve as student cadres in the School Youth League Committee and Student Union departments, 2 are members of the Presidium of the School Student Union, and 1 is Deputy Secretary of the School Student Youth League Committee. The class has been awarded 3 times as Outstanding Student Union Cadres at the university level and 10 times as Outstanding Communist Youth League Cadres at the university level. After class, the students have outstanding performance in discipline competitions and scientific research activities, winning more than 20 awards at or above the university level, including 3 national awards and 3 provincial awards, demonstrating academic strength and innovative spirit. In terms of scientific research, the whole class actively participates in scientific research activities. A total of 45 students participate in SRP projects, and 28 students participate in the College Students' Innovation Training Program, including 3 principals of national innovation training programs and 2 principals of provincial innovation training programs, showing enthusiasm for scientific research and innovative ability. Members have participated in the publication of 4 academic papers and applied for 2 national invention patents (accepted). With the vitality of youth and the spirit of forging ahead, the Class of Environmental Engineering, Grade 2023 jointly writes a brilliant chapter of an excellent class.
