On December 5, 2025, the School of Environment and Energy at South China University of Technology organized a group movie-viewing and exchange activity for its faculty and students, featuring the environmental protection-themed film Upstream. Participants included Wu Honghui, Deputy Secretary of the School's Party Committee and Executive Deputy Director of the University's Working Committee for Caring for the Next Generation, retired Professors Wei Chaohai and Pan Weibin, all counselors, and nearly 50 student representatives who are Party members. 

During the exchange session, connecting the development of the environmental protection cause with talent cultivation practices, the two professors encouraged students to align their professional knowledge with the needs of our times and contribute their youthful strength to the construction of an ecological civilization. Using the movie viewing and discussion as a platform, this activity further strengthened the participants' sense of mission toward environmental protection. Moving forward, the School will continue to promote the integration of Party building with professional education, guiding young students to advance courageously on the path of green development.
