On June 16, the Graduation Ceremony 2025 of the School of Environment and Energy, South China University of Technology was held in the Concert Hall of the University Town Campus. Present at the ceremony were Zhu Nengwu, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School; Hu Yun and Chen Yan, Vice Deans of the School; Wu Honghui, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School; Qiu Guanglei, Vice Dean of the School; Zhu Yihao, alumnus of the 2016 session majoring in Water Supply and Drainage and Co-founder & CEO of Shenzhen Chuangleng Technology Co., Ltd.; representatives of directors of various departments and institutes of the School; professor representatives; head teachers of graduating classes; all counselors; and graduates of the 2025 session.

In his speech, Zhu Nengwu, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, named and commended the graduates of the School who had won various honors during their study at South China University of Technology, and put forward three hopes for the graduates: First, take the school motto as the helm, pursue practical actions to achieve long-term goals, temper knowledge into a sharp tool for solving practical problems, and cultivate comprehensive abilities through the integration of knowledge and practice; second, take aspirations as the sail, align personal development with the country's needs, serve major projects with the wisdom of youth, and respond to the propositions of the times with a pure heart; third, take friendship as the anchor, keep the alma mater in mind, and no matter where they go in the future, look forward to them returning to the school often after graduation.

Zhu Yihao, representative of outstanding alumni, took his own entrepreneurial experience as a starting point, encouraging students to dare to make mistakes, maintain curiosity about the world, respond to reality with actions, and guide the direction with missions. Professor Zhao Bote, representative of teachers and head teachers, put forward hopes for graduates from the unique perspective of science and engineering, hoping that students will always be active ions migrating to the anode in the electrolytic cell of life.

At the ceremony, Qi Yingxue, representative of undergraduate graduates, reviewed the growth journey of the four undergraduate years, expressed deep gratitude to the School and teachers, and stated that she would join the Western Program and devote herself to the cause of rural revitalization. Pei An, representative of postgraduate graduates, shared the growth and breakthroughs in the scientific research journey, and resolved to be guided by the spirit of South China University of Technology and practice the school motto of "Erudition, Deliberation, Discernment, and Practice" with practical actions.Representatives of graduates presented thank-you cards to representatives of head teachers and counselors of graduating classes, expressing high respect to the teachers.

Leaders of the School announced the decision on commending the 2025 session of outstanding undergraduate graduation projects (theses) and the 2025 session of outstanding master's and doctoral dissertations, and issued certificates to the recipients. Zhu Nengwu, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, issued appointment letters to representatives of alumni liaisons, expecting them to become a bridge between alumni and the School, and contribute wisdom and strength to the development of the alma mater and the cause of alumni.
