On July 21, South China University of Technology and Guangdong Xingyu Agricultural Ecological Technology Co., Ltd. held the "school-enterprise cooperation project and academic exchange meeting on high-quality agricultural development" at our school. Leaders and personnel from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Guangdong Province, Guangdong Agricultural Technology Promotion Center, Guangdong Agricultural Environment and Farmland Quality Protection Center, South China Institute of Environmental Sciences (SCIES) of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, South China University of Technology(SCUT), and Guangdong Xingyu Agricultural Ecological Technology Co., Ltd. attended the meeting. At the meeting, Ms. Qin Yexia, Deputy Director of the Institute of Science and Technology, SCUT, gave an introduction to the basic situation, scientific research resources and advantages, and the results of historical school-enterprise cooperation projects. She also affirmed and supported the cooperation between the school and the enterprise. Professor Zhu Nengwu, the Executive Vice Dean of the School, said that industrial solid waste resource utilization is an important discipline and direction. The project can realize the increase in agricultural income and quality, support the sustainable development of industry, and conform to national needs and the rural revitalization strategy.

Representatives from the Guangdong Xingyu Agricultural Ecological Technology Co., Ltd. briefly introduced the progress of the school-enterprise cooperation project at the meeting. The project will use Professor Shi Lin's technology of the School of Environmental and Energy, SCUT, as the core, and use raw materials such as ores and tailings to produce mineral soil conditioners and heavy metal passivators. The two are mainly used in agricultural product cultivation and the restoration of soil with obstructive factors. They have been produced and applied to agricultural product cultivation and soil restoration. At the same time, everyone tasted the 'soil conditioner' product cultivated with the technology developed by Professor Shi Lin of the School, the Parrot peach. After tasting it, everyone generally felt that the quality of the Parrot peach is obviously better than ordinary products in terms of color, fragrance, and taste.

Later, Professor Shi Lin gave an academic report on "Technology and Demonstration of Southern Degraded Soil Restoration", introducing in detail the current situation of southern soil degradation, restoration methods, technical routes, expected goals, implementation contents, and innovations.
