On the afternoon of July 4, 2023, Xu Guozheng, Deputy Secretary of the School's Party Committee and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, along with Zeng Xuemin, Deputy Secretary of the Office of the Discipline Inspection Commission and Supervision Office, visited the school to conduct research and provide guidance at the School of Environment and Energy. He Jianhua, Secretary of the School's Party Committee, Zhu Nengwu, Executive Vice Dean, Hu Yun, Vice Dean, Chen Yan, Vice Dean, and others attended the research symposium.

During the symposium, Zhu Nengwu, the Executive Vice Dean, presented a work report on behalf of the School. He provided a detailed overview of the development of the School, the progress of the Party Committee's inspection and rectification, the cultivation of professional ethics and conduct by faculty, and the school's progress and plans for the year 2023. Subsequently, participants exchanged views on specific matters such as the shortage of laboratory spaces, accommodation and study arrangements for graduate students across campuses, the construction of the student community, and the cultivation of professional ethics.

Deputy Secretary Xu Guozheng and the participants carefully listened to the report from the School and the voices of the attendees. He gave full affirmation to the School's achievements in recent years and provided specific guidance and suggestions regarding the direction of efforts in faculty development, talent cultivation, scientific research, and social services, as well as the focus on laboratory safety management and the proper use of research fundings. Finally, Deputy Secretary Xu Guozheng expressed full confidence in the School's strong position in the discipline of Environmental Science and Engineering among universities nationwide, emphasizing the preponderant status of thr discipline. The University is confident about the School's future development and will provide full support in all aspects of the School's work.
