On June 15, 2023, the School of Environment and Energy, South China University of Technology held a college-wide faculty meeting in B4-215 at the University City campus to report on the implementation of the party committee's inspection and rectification.The meeting was chaired by Professor Zhu Nengwu, the Deputy Secretary of the school's party committee and the Executive Vice Dean of the school. All members of the school's leading group attended the meeting. The Deputy Director of the Party Committee Inspection Office of the University, Xu Yehe, attended as well.

During the meeting, He Jianhua, Secretary of the school's party committee, reported on the implementation of the party committee's inspection and rectification to all faculty members of the school. Since recieving the fourth round of inspections by the university's party committee, the school's party committee has adhered to a problem-oriented approach and strictly followed the requirements outlined in the "Feedback on the Fourth Round of Inspections of the College of Environment and Energy by the Party Committee of the South China University of Technology." They have systematically inspected and addressed issues, established a problem management mechanism, clarified responsibilities and measures, implemented real and effective improvements. The school's leading group has guided the rectification work with Xi Jinping's Thoughts on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, integrating it into their daily work, deepening reformation, enforcing strict party governance, and promoting the high-quality development of the school.
He Jianhua, the Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, informed all the faculty and staff about the implementation of rectification measures after the inspection.
The meeting demanded that the college's leading team take this inspection and rectification as an opportunity to unite closely, summarize experiences, learn from lessons, and continue to deepen and consolidate the results of the rectification. They should further deepen the study of Xi Jinping's Thoughts on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, thoroughly implement the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, deeply comprehend the decisive significance of the "Two Establisheds"” strengthen the "Four Consciousnesses", firmly maintain the "Four Confidences", and uphold the "Two Safeguards". They should resolutely implement the party's theories, roadmaps, principles, and policies and major decisions and deployments of the Ministry of Education, the Guangdong Province, and the University.
Faculty members present at the meeting stated that the rectification work has been well-implemented. There has been significant progress in studying and implementing General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions on education and ecological civilization construction, as well as in strengthening the integration of theory and practice. There has been significant progress in implementing the fundamental task of cultivating students' moral character, improving undergraduate education (such as professors teaching undergraduate courses, fostering a good academic atmosphere, and improving employment situations), advancing the "Double First-Class" construction, promoting disciplinary development, and focusing on key platform construction. There have been significant improvements in enhancing the level of internal governance, widely soliciting opinions on major decision-making, and conducting public disclosure of results. There have been noticeable improvements in strengthening laboratory safety management. There have been good performances in promoting party conduct and clean governance, conducting integrity education, and carrying out discussions with faculty members. There have been multiple measures to support the recruitment and cultivation of young teachers.
