At 2 p.m., February 24th, invited by the School of Environment and Energy of South China University of Technology, Professor Li Hexing, President of Shanghai University of Electric Power, gave a lecture on Challenges and Countermeasures of Photocatalytic Reactions to the faculty and students of the School in Room 215 of the Lecture Hall of the Environment Building. The lecture was hosted by Professor Zhu Nengwu, Executive Vice President of the School.
In the lecture, Professor Li Hexing introduced the current development of photocatalysis in the field of energy and environment, and summarized the challenges of photocatalysis and its countermeasures. His research group has carried out in-depth and systematic research in terms of expanding the range of light absorption, enhancing the lifetime of photogenerated carriers and designing the interfacial reaction process for different application scenarios and usage needs, and applied the theoretical research to practical applications such as buildings, roads, indoor air purification, and waste precious metals purification, and achieved important theoretical and industrial results. Professor Li shared novel knowledge in the field and explained profound theories with simple words, arousing the keen interest among the teachers and students. After the report, Professor Li exchanged and discussed with some teachers and students of the School.
