Vice President Zhu Min et al. Visited the School for Investigation and Research

On the morning of November 3, Vice President Zhu Min, Executive Vice Dean of the Institute of Science and Technology Lin Yiwen et al. paid a visit to the School for research and guidance. Dean Ye Daiqi, Party Secretary He Jianhua, Vice Dean Zhu Nengwu, Vice Dean Chen Yan, and full-time Deputy Director of National Engineering Laboratory Qin Yexia attended the meeting, additional eight young professors including Professor Liu Weizhen also attended the research symposium. Dean Ye Daiqi presided over the meeting.



At the meeting, Dean Ye Daiqi expressed a warm welcome to the visit of Vice President Zhu Min and his delegation on behalf of the School and reported on the overall scientific research work of the School, introducing the overview, scientific research achievements, social services and the declaration of various projects for funding, focusing on the summary of the declaration of the National Natural Science Foundation of China in 2022.



After that, the participating teachers introduced themselves and raised different questions, and the leaders answered them one by one, mainly on personal development, scientific research project declaration, team building and other aspects of in-depth exchange and discussion. The overall atmosphere was positive and warm, and the young teachers all expressed commitment to working hard to improve scientific research, and hoped that the University could further increase the support for the School.


After listening to the report and exchange, Vice President Zhu Min offered advice to guide the deployment of scientific research work of the School. First, we should make use of the advantages of the discipline and lay out the development of the next five years as early as possible; second, we should steer scientific research in a focused direction, and the School should guide in due course, integrate the team and platform, make full use of internal and external resources, conduct organized scientific research to better navigate the team, with the hope that young teachers would be brave enough to compete, be willing to serve as a ladder, dare to take up the role, and be willing to play a supporting role. Third, we should ensure the safety of the laboratory first, and the University will try its best to improve the situation of the laboratory in the School.
