On the morning of June 24, 2022, delegation of five members, including Dean Ye Daiqi, Vice Dean Zhu Nengwu, Vice Dean Hu Yun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Committee Wu Honghui of the School of Environment and Energy, visited Architectural Design and Research Institute of Guangdong Province. The delegation was warmly received by Li Wei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Director and General Manager, Luo Chiyu, Deputy General Manager and Chief Engineer, and Yuan Xiaokai, Director of Environmental Protection Institute of the Institute.

During the investigation and research process, Ye Daiqi et al. first visited the company's cultural gallery and the project display gallery on the third floor to gain an in-depth understanding of the company's development history, industrial layout and other situations. Then, the two sides discussed and exchanged views around the Party building and cooperation mechanisms of scientific and technological achievements and other aspects. At the symposium, Ye Daiqi said that the School of Environment and Energy of SCUT has always adhered to the University’s philosophy of integration into development for development and actively promoted the in-depth cooperation between schools and enterprises. He also expressed hope to fully integrate the quality resources of both the school and the enterprise, explore new modes of cooperation, and establish a joint training base for postgraduates to implement the special action of visiting enterprises to promote employment, and create more high-quality employment opportunities for graduates via this opportunity. Li Wei introduced the company's overview and core business, and pointed out that the company attaches great importance to scientific and technological innovation and talent training, and hoped to establish closer cooperation with the School in talent transfer, internship practice and transformation of scientific research results, so as to make the industry-university-research cooperation between the schools and enterprises more practical and deep, and promote mutual benefit and win-win results.

On the afternoon of June 29, 2022, delegation of six members, including Dean Ye Daiqi, Party Secretary Chen Hangyu, Vice Dean Zhu Nengwu, Vice Dean Hu Yun, and Deputy Party Secretary and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Committee Wu Honghui, visited the South China Institute of Environmental Sciences of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment. 8 members of the Institute, including Wang Haiyang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Committee of the South China Institute of Environmental Sciences, Ministry of Ecology and Environment, Lu Junqing, Director of the Office of the Party Committee (Personnel Division), Zhang Yingmin, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Management Division, Wen Yong, Director of the Ecological and Environmental Restoration Technology Research Center, and Zhu Lihua, Deputy Director of the Office of the Party Committee (Personnel Division), attended the research seminar.

At the symposium, on behalf of the School, Ye Daiqi introduced the discipline development, faculty, personnel training, scientific research and other aspects of the School. Wang Haiyang introduced the employment needs and job characteristics of the Institute, as well as the situation of receiving graduates from South China University of Technology in recent years, and the performance of graduates in their own units after taking up employment positions. Then, Ye Daiqi et al. carefully watched the introduction video of the Institute and got a full understanding of its development. Subsequently, the two sides carried out in-depth exchanges on further cooperation in personnel training and scientific research. The participants of the Institute gave full affirmation to the comprehensive quality and working ability of the graduates of SCUT, and expressed their hope that SCUT would continue to send more excellent graduates to the Institute for employment in the future. Finally, Wang Haiyang said that SCUT and the South China Institute of Environmental Sciences of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment will further expand the cooperation mechanism between the two sides in the future in terms of targeted talents cultivation, three-dimensional development of employment opportunities, talent training and project cooperation management of the whole cycle.
