On the afternoon of May 26, 2022, Li Weiqing, member of the Standing Committee of the Party committee and Vice President of South China University of Technology, accompanied by Liu Xiaoxiang, Deputy Director of the Personnel Department, came to the School to investigate and guide the work. Dean Ye Daiqi, Secretary of the Party committee Chen Hangyu, Vice Dean Chen Yan, Qin Yexia, full-time Deputy Director of the National Engineering Laboratory, young teachers Yan Keyou, Wu Junliang, Chen Peirong and others attended the research symposium.

At the meeting, Dean Ye Daiqi first made a keynote report on the development of the School’s teaching staff and the internationalization work, which focused on the main problems and countermeasures in the past five years. Afterwards, the participants had in-depth discussions and exchanges on the topics of the personnel needs of the National Engineering Laboratory, the introduction of talents and the development of young teachers, and the appointment of postdoctoral and full-time scientific research personnel.

Vice President Li Weiqing and et al listened carefully to the speeches of the teachers at the meeting. She said that the University would attach great importance to the opinions and suggestions put forward by the School. She hoped that Personnel Department and other relevant branches in School would continue to maintain communication after the meeting and jointly coordinate and promote various work.
