Recently, the results of the 18th National Post-Graduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling of "Huawei Cup" in 2021 were announced. Liang Yunshun, Li Jie and Huang Yongxi, the 2020 graduate students of our School, won the first prize and were nominated to be promoted in the final of digital modeling star; Jiang Shan, Mo Jianbin and others won the second prize of the National Award, and Zhu Hao, Liu Xiaozhao and others won the third prize.
It is reported that this competition has attracted 17,692 graduate teams from 459 graduate training units in all provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government, special administrative regions and countries abroad. A total of 700 members of the expert committee and experts specially invited strictly screened the teams through two stages of online and on-site centralized review. Finally, 206 first prizes, 2174 second prizes and 3,519 third prizes, and 11,680 Successful Participation Award were selected, and 12 teams were nominated to advance to the final of digital modeling star.
Team members from the Liang Yunshun team forged ahead and dared to fight. Before the competition, they carried out project learning and simulation exercises in an orderly manner, laying a solid foundation for participating in the competition. Our Schol attaches great importance to the cultivation of postgraduates' innovative and practical education ability, and takes many measures to strongly support and encourage postgraduates to devote themselves to scientific research and innovation, to actively participate in discipline competitions, strive to publish high-level scientific research achievements, and contribute to the construction of first-class disciplines for our School.
