On the morning of March 24th, the first sub forum of the School of Environment and Energy of the special cloud forum for projects of overseas excellent young scholars of South China University of Technology was held. More than 20 overseas young scholars participated in the sub forum exchange activities. On behalf of the school, Dean Ye Daiqi extended a warm welcome to the participating scholars and comprehensively introduced the discipline platform of the school. Outstanding young talent representatives of the school shared their growth experience. Overseas young scholars participating in the forum had full interaction and exchange with the school on issues of concern.

It is reported that this year, the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) first released the project guidance of NSFC Excellent Youth Science Fund Project (Overseas), with a funding period of 3 years and a funding of 1-3 million yuan. Therefore, the University and school grandly launched a special cloud forum for overseas excellent youth projects, sincerely invited the world's top young talents, and welcomed the application of projects relying on South China University of Technology.

This cloud forum is an upgraded cloud version of the school's Forum on Excellent Young Scholars at home and abroad. It is one of the important measures for the school and university to vigorously introduce overseas excellent young talents. It aims to enhance the overseas young talents' in-depth understanding of the school’s running situation and talent introduction policies of the school and university via the forum, and also provide a platform for the school to fully communicate with overseas young talents.
