On May 14th, the announcement of the evaluation results of the 22nd China Patent Award of the China National Intellectual Property Administration ended, and two patents of our school were selected as pre-award projects, including one pre-award of China Patent Gold Award and one pre-award of Excellence Award.
Introduction to award-winning patents
01 Device and process of a municipal sewage improvement A²/O
improving nitrogen and phosphorus removal treatment
Professor Zhou Shaoqi, the main inventor (second from the right), and the sewage treatment facility
designed and constructed with patented technology
The patent of the invention is shared by South China University of Technology and Guizhou Academy of Sciences. Aiming at the problems of complex nitrogen and phosphorus removal process, numerous structures and unstable operation and control of existing urban sewage, the school adopted the principle of self-developed new denitrifying phosphorus removal technology (the denitrifying phosphorus accumulating bacteria DPB can realize aerobic / anoxic phosphorus accumulation by alternating electron receptors of O₂、NO₂¯、NO₃¯), to develop a new simultaneous denitrifying phosphorus removal device and process with simple structure, flexible operation, small floor area and excellent nitrogen and phosphorus removal effect. Through the spatial amplification and enhancement technology of functional dominant bacteria DPB, spatial coupling integration enhancement technology, sludge space-time conversion and functional flora enhancement technology, new technology and device three reflux(A³/O)was constructed, making huge breakthrough and fixing major defects of the traditional biological nitrogen and phosphorus removal mechanism and key technologies in the international academic community. It can greatly improve the effect of simultaneous nitrogen and phosphorus removal and have the main pollutant indexes of the effluent meet the national level a discharge standard without chemical phosphorus removal,. Through cooperation with professional design institutes and key enterprises in Guangdong, Guizhou and Shandong, engineering promotion and industrial application have been realized in more than 20 provinces and regions in China, with a total sewage treatment scale of 1.772 billion tons / year, and great economic, social and environmental benefits have been achieved.
02 A two-way flow internal circulation PS advanced oxidation reactor
and sewage treatment method
Professor Wan Jinquan, main investor(second from the right), and application of patented technology
The invention relates to a two-way flow internal circulation persulfate reactor generating sulfate radical and realizing the efficient oxidative degradation of POPs in water. The invention controls the release of small molecular acid complexed ferrous ions to improve the utilization efficiency of free radical oxidative degradation of POPs. Combined with the structural design of water jet self-priming assembly and umbrella cone water distributor, it realizes two-way flow internal circulation in the oxidation reactor for the first time, significantly improving the volumetric load and mass transfer efficiency of the reactor, and solving the long-term slow-release of oxidized free radicals that cannot be realized by the existing advanced oxidation technology, low volumetric load, high operation cost of the reactor and other common problems. The removal rate of POPs is 70-90%, the operation cost is reduced by more than 50%, and the toxicity of discharged wastewater is reduced from high toxicity to slight toxicity or non toxicity.
In 2014, the patented technology successfully realized the application of PS advanced oxidation engineering with a daily wastewater treatment capacity of 1000 tons for the first time in the world, closing the technical gap at home and abroad. The patent has been implemented in water treatment projects in many river basins across the country, reducing the impact of wastewater on the discharged water areas, and making an important contribution to ensuring the water environment safety and people's health in key river basins in China.
