On the afternoon of May 26th, 2021, Li Weiqing, member of the Standing Committee of the Party committee and vice president of South China University of Technology, accompanied by Liu Xiaoxiang, deputy director of the personnel department and Section Chief Hu Wenli, visited the school to investigate and guide the work. Chen Hangyu, secretary of the Party committee of the school, Zhu Nengwu, vice dean of the school, Qin Yexia, full-time deputy director of the National Engineering Laboratory, junior professors Qiu Yongcai, Jiang Zhongjie, Fu Mingli and others attended the research symposium.

At the symposium, secretary Chen Hangyu first made a report on the work of the school, and briefly reported the development and achievements of the school in recent years from the aspects of discipline construction, teaching staff, talent training, international exchanges and social services. Afterwards, the participants had an in-depth discussion and exchange on a series of full-time scientific research documents issued by the University recently. Vice President Li Weiqing and fellow delegation listened carefully to the opinions and suggestions of the school’s teachers, and said that the school will attach great importance to the opinions and suggestions put forward by the school. After the meeting, the school will communicate and coordinate with relevant departments to solve problems through consultation.
