On the morning of October 12th, 2021, Pan Yonggang, Director of Guangzhou Machinery Design and Research Institute affiliated to Guangdong Environment Protection Group Co., Ltd., Rao Junyuan, manager of Strategic Development Department of Guangdong Environment Protection Group, and fellow delegation visited our school. Professor Ye Daiqi, Dean of the School, Professor Wu Junliang from Division of Atmospheric Environment and Pollution Control, Associate Professor Chen Peirong, Qin Yexia, full-time Deputy Director of the National Engineering Laboratory, and others had a discussion and exchange with visiting guests in Conference Room 102.

At the symposium, the two sides discussed and exchanged on how to carry out scientific research, talent exchange to facilitate cooperations. Both sides have always believed that we should make full use of the position of Guangdong Environment Protection Group and the School of Environment and Energy of SCUT in the industry, and complement each other with respective advantages by integrating resources. Both sides will vigorously carry out large-scale VOCs treatment in key industries in accordance with the national policies and the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) for pollution prevention and control of Guangdong Province, and strive to build a VOCs treatment demonstration project. Efforts will be made to help Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao's Great Bay area and Guangdong Province fight against and prevent pollution and build ecological civilization.
