From May 14th to 16th, 2021, the 2021 annual meeting on technologies of coordinated prevention and control of volatile organic compounds pollution under carbon neutrality goal was co-sponsored by the Professional Committee for Prevention and Control of VOCs Pollution of Chinese Society of Environmental Sciences / South China University of Technology, jointly undertaken by Nanchang University and jointly organized by Beijing Capital Air Environmental Science & Technology Co.,Ltd., / Impact Scientific Instrument Co.,ltd. held in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province. Professor Ye Daiqi, Secretary General of the Professional Committee for Prevention and Control of VOCs Pollution of Chinese Society of Environmental Sciences and the Dean of School of Environment and Energy, South China University of Technology, presided over the opening ceremony.

With the theme of prevention and control of VOCs under the goal of carbon neutrality, the annual meeting invited Liu Wenqing, researcher of Hefei Institute of Physical Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences and academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Hou Li’an, professor of Rocket Force University of Engineering and academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Professor Li Junhua of Tsinghua University, Professor Shao Min, assistant to the president of Jinan University, Professor Xiu Guangli of East China University of Science and Technology, Professor Ye Daiqi of South China University of Technology and Zhang Yinglei, technical director of Beijing Capital Air Environmental Science & Technology Co.,Ltd., to deliver the keynote reports. 

Experts and scholars in the room had in-depth exchanges and discussions on topics such as carbon neutrality and prevention and control of VOCs, VOCs monitoring technology and supervision strategy, new materials and technologies for industrial VOCs treatment, whole process control of industrial VOCs Pollution, safety control of VOCs treatment system, coordinated control of industrial VOCs and other pollutants. In order to encourage and cultivate young students, a special session for young scholars was held at this meeting, and three excellent report awards and nine excellent report awards were selected.The conference aims to implement the national strategies of carbon peak - carbon neutrality and building a beautiful China, strengthen the coordinated control of fine particulate matters and ozone, accelerate the emission reduction of volatile organic compounds, jointly promote pollution reduction and carbon reduction (coordinated governance of carbon pollution), and actively promote the development of carbon neutrality, volatile organic pollution prevention and control and other related disciplines, enhance China's competitiveness in the field of carbon neutrality research.

Nearly 600 people from South China University of Technology and other scientific research institutions, Jiangxi Academy of Ecological and Environmental Science and Planning, and Jiangxi ecological and environmental system attended the meeting.
