Four schools jointly organized 'Civil Code' Special Lecture

According to the university’s requirements for organizing and carrying out the civil code examinations and the arrangement of the disciplinary education study month in 2020, on the afternoon of September 17, the School of Environment and Energy, the School of Biological Sciences and Engineering, the School of Software, and the School of Medicine jointly hold a special study lecture on 'Civil Code of the People's Republic of China'.

The 'Civil Code of the People's Republic of China' is the first law named after the 'Code' since the founding of the People's Republic of China. It is a major achievement of my country's socialist rule of law in the new era and is of milestone significance.

The lecture invited Xia Zhenglin, a doctoral tutor, a law professor, a member of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee Lecturer Group, a member of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee Lecturer Group, and a key member of the university’s party committee lecturer group. Starting with the status and role of the Civil Code, he introduced the historical position of the Civil Code, focused on the relationship between the Civil Code and our lives, and what major problems it solves, and combined the common cases in daily life to highlight the personality rights and objects in the Civil Code. The whole lecture had a clear theme and rich content. The lecture has a strong guiding significance for the study, promotion and implementation of the Civil Code, improving legal literacy, and enhancing legal thinking and awareness of the rule of law.

person in charge of the party committee of the school said that in the future, he would continue to take up the political responsibility of studying and propagating and implementing the Civil Code; practically taking the study, publicity and implementation of the Civil Code as a way to promote the quality and efficiency of the work of the secondary unit, and improve the quality of morality education; in accordance with the 'One Five Three Eight One' work deployment proposed by the 17th Party Congress of the university; strive to build a high-quality professional and innovative teaching team to help build a world-class university with Chinese characteristics.
