Wang Zhihua, the secretary general of Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences, visited Special Committee to inspect and guide work

  On the afternoon of March 20th, 2018, Wang Zhihua , the secretary general of Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences, visited School of Environment and Energy in South China University of Technology (the affiliated unit of Special Committee for the pollution control of VOCs of Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences) to inspect and guide work. The dean of School of Environment and Energy, South China University of Technology, the head of National Engineering Laboratory of the Technology and Equipment for the pollution control of VOCs and the secretary general of Special Committee for the pollution control of VOCs, Professor Ye Daiqi and other related personnel in Special Committee warm welcomed to the arrival of Secretary General Wang Zhihua.

  Professor Ye Daiqi not only expressed his gratitude to Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences for their concerns, support and guidance to Special Committee for a long time, but also represented Special Committee to report a program about a high-profile conference for the pollution control of VOCs which is followed by central organization and Ministry of Environmental Protection. Besides, Professor Ye Daiqi introduced to Secretary General Wang Zhihua some situations of School of Environment and Energy in SCUT, such as development history, scientific research. Then, Professor Ye Daiqi lead them to visit National Engineering Laboratory of the technology and equipment for the pollution control of VOCs and the public scientific research laboratories.

  Secretary General Wang Zhihua expressed a deep appreciation to Special Committee’s achievements over the years, and introduced “Great Learning”, “Great Spread” and some other main business of Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences. Both sides launched a deep discussion about the high-profile conference for the pollution control of VOCs. Furthermore, they reached a consensus on strengthening the bond between Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences and Special Committee and cooperate to develop each work.

  The Special Committee for the pollution control of VOCs of Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences (Abbreviation: Special Committee for VOCs of CSES) was established in October 2011 which is the branch of Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences. It is voluntarily made up of researchers and managers who work on the pollution control of VOCs in China. More importantly, it’s approved by Science and Technology Association and registered by Ministry of Civil Affairs.

  Special Committee for VOCs of CESE provided national and local relevant departments with powerful technical support to control VOCs and enact laws and regulations over the years. Moreover, it plays a positive role in promoting the technological level of controlling VOCs at home.
