On the afternoon of December 19th, 2017, the award ceremony of Chongto Environmental Scholarship, which is sponsored by Chongto Environmental Group Limited, was held at the Lecture Hall, Building of the School of Environment and Energy. More than 100 people attended the ceremony, including the General Manager and Chief Financial Officer Du Daohong, Vice President and Executive Director Xu Juwen and other senior management of Chongto Environmental Group Limited, Deputy Director of Department of Student Affairs Lin Zhi, Secretary Chen Hangyu and Deputy Secretary Wu Yaohua of the School of Environment and Energy and representatives of students and teachers.                   

 Chongto Environmental Scholarship was established in December,2015 by Chongto Environmental Group Limited, which grants 30 excellent undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students in School of Environment and Energy with 300 thousand yuan annually in ten consecutive years in the total amount of 3 million yuan. To implement the wishes of CT Environmental Grouped Limited, to develop environment protection and cultivate talents in the field of environmental protection, the school made rules for Chongto Environmental Scholarship Examination and Appraisal according to the overall goals of discipline constructions, supporting and encouraging students to publish high-quality papers in SCI journals, visit abroad for more than three months and attend high-level academic meetings. After a fair, open and just appraisal conducted by the school, 30 students were elected eventually.

   On the award ceremony, Mr. Du Daohong expressed affirmation and encouragement to the students on their study. The representatives of the scholarship recipients showed their academic merit and research achievements to the guests. They thought being awarded CT Environmental Scholarship was great inspiration to them and they would work harder and get good grades to give back to society.
