To sum up the profound lessons of the laboratory fire incident on October 22 in B5-539 and the deficiencies in laboratory safety management, our school convoked the laboratory safety conference for all of the leading members and the staff. The conference arranged the safety inspection and rectification work for the whole school's laboratories. And our school invited Yao Zhimin, the deputy director of laboratory and equipment administration office, Ma Xiaoming deputy director of the school safety expert committee, Cai Zhaoming, member of school experimental teaching supervision group and Professor Gao Jianhua to introduce the laboratory safety status and give safety alert.

    Deputy director Yao Zhimin, Professor Ma Xiaomin and Professor Cai Zhaoming respectively introduced the status about the school's laboratory safety we faced with, common laboratory accident warning and teachers and students' laboratory safety awareness to staff.

   Vice dean Zhu Nengwu arranged the comprehensive laboratory safety risks investigation and rectification work, required to stop using all the laboratories to carry out a comprehensive investigation and rectification of safety risks, and provide the rectification report and laboratory safety education summary to the laboratory department. School would invite experts to form an inspection and rectification group to check all of the laboratories’ safety and rectification. The laboratories meet the requirements would be reused and the laboratories which had safety risks would be stopped.

      Finally, dean Ye Daiqi and secretary of the party committee Chen Hangyu further emphasized the importance of laboratory safety work, and they conveyed that school valued and supported the safety work of our laboratories. We were required to carry out laboratory rectification strictly on relevant regulations, and we should strengthen the investigation of safety risks in the laboratory. At the same time, the teachers were required to pay attention to safety awareness and responsibility consciousness in the future work, so as to ensure the safety education and safety training. The school would further strengthen the laboratory management and ensure that laboratory safety management was institutionalized and normalized.
