The Professional Committee for Pollution Prevention & Control of Volatile Organic Compounds (CSES) was founded on Apr. 14th, 2012 in South China Unviversity of Technology. More than 150 experts and representatives arrived and the committee chair, deputy chair, and members were chosen in the meeting.

The first workshop of CSES also took place in the afternoon. Representatives gave lectures and dicussed in the workshop, including Prof. Min Shao and Prof. Shaodong Xie from Peking University, Prof. Xinming Wang from Institute of Geochemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Prof. Daiqi Ye from SCUT, Prof. Changhong Chen from Shanghai Academy of Environmental Sciences, Prof. Zhuqin Xie from Taiwan Yunlin University Science and Technology, Dr. Ting Zhang from National Research Center for Environmental Analysis and Measurement, and deputy director Xueshan Zhang from Nansha Environmental Protection Bureau.
