On June 1, 2012, Prof. Jerry Lin visited SESE and gave a seminar on the topic of "Waste Streams to Renewable Energy: A New Paradigm in Waste Water Treatment".Prof. Lin presented the topic from three areas: anaerobic digestion, microbial fuel cell, as well as algae cultivation by wastewater.

Prof. Lin currently works in Civil and Environmental Engineering Department, Lamar University. His research interests include atmospheric environment modeling, wastewater treatment, and water supply engineering.
