Abstract: What are effective avenues and methods for academic research? How to carry out scientific research? How to position yourself? How to enter an academic field? About the speaker: Li Keqin, Academician of the European Academy of Sciences, Academician of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, IEEE Fellow, AAIA Fellow, ACIS Fellow, AIIA FellowDr. Li Keqin is currently a tenured chair professor at the State University of New York and a national distinguished professor at the School of Information Science and Engineering of Hunan University, with his main research directions are cloud computing, fog computing and mobile edge computing. He is one of only six computer scientists in the world to have more than 140 papers and a comprehensive impact index greater than 4.0. He has published more than 960 papers in academic works, research journals, and international conferences (including SCIMore than 670 journal papers, IEEE and ACM Transactions and more than 290 papers in Journals, CCF A There are more than 130 papers). He has won the Best Paper Award at international academic conferences such as PDPTA-1996, NAECON-1997, IPDPS-2000, ISPA-2016, NPC-2019, ISPA-2019, CPSCom-2022, etc. His papers have been included in the best proceedings of many international conferences, including HPCS-1997, PMEO-PDS-2002, WMN-2003, PMEO-PDS-2004, IPDPS-2004, PMEO-2008, WWASN-2009, PMEO-2010, APDCM-2010, APDCM-2011, HPGC-2011, PMAM-2014。 He has served as president of more than 20 international conferences, including the 21st IEEEHigh Performance Computing and Communications Conference(2019), IEEE Joint Conference on Superintelligence (2022, including6 international conferences), the 9th sessionChair of the IEEE Conference on Edge Computing and Scalable Cloud (2023).
