Biography：
I received a Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering and Information Science from the University of Science and Technology of China and joined the South China University of Technology in 1994.
I was a visiting scholar at Carnegie Mellon University from September 2011 to August 2012. I have been Principal Investigators of over numerous major national and provincial research projects, including the National 863 Program, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Next Generation Internet Program of the National Development and Reform Commission, major projects of the Ministry of Education, and the Guangdong Provincial Natural Science Foundation's Foundation Research Cultivation Project, Frontier and Key Technology Innovation Project, and the Applied Science and Technology R&D Project etc.. I have published over 100 research papers in national and international academic journals and conferences, published four books, and obtained over 50 authorized invention patents. I have won one second prize in the National Science and Technology Progress Award, two second prizes in the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, and one first prize in the Ministry of Education Science and Technology Progress Award. I have mentored over 200 doctoral and master's students and was awarded the title of "My Favorite Advisor" at South China University of Technology.
