Biography:
I am a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Computer Science and Engineering, South China University of Technology, and also serve as the Director of the Joint Laboratory for Intelligent Active Rehabilitation. I have been consecutively listed in the "World's Top 2% Scientists" ranking for two years.
I completed my undergraduate studies at Sun Yat-sen University and earned both my master's and doctoral degrees from South China University of Technology.
My research achievements have been successfully applied in several areas. On one hand, they have been implemented in special robotic teleoperation systems for military and aviation applications, for which I was awarded the First Prize of Military Science and Technology Progress Award. On the other hand, some of my research outcomes have been translated into practical use in medical robotics, industrial robotics, agricultural robotics, pharmaceutical retail, industrial manufacturing, and software testing.
In recent years, I have led one project funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and three provincial/ministerial-level projects, in addition to participating in several National High-Tech R&D Program (863 Program) projects. To date, I have been granted 50 patents and authored three books. I have published over 50 journal papers, more than 40 of which are indexed in SCI, including one in Nature Communications and 27 in top IEEE Transactions journals.
My contributions have been recognized through several prestigious talent programs and awards, including the Guangdong Natural Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, the Guangdong Special Support Program for Young Top-notch Talents, the Guangzhou Pearl River Science and Technology New Star, and the TCL Young Scholar Award.
