In this presentation, I firstly will give an overview summary of ourresearch centre – Australian Centre for Water and Environmental Biotechnology(ACWEB, formerly AWMC) at The University of Queensland. Then I will brieflyintroduce the fundamental research work being done in my group, especially themethane driven nitrogen and metal cycles. The focus of the talk will be ourresearch work on resources recovery and GHG emissions mitigation in wastewatertreatment, including the scale up of these novel technologies throughcollaborations with Australian water industry.

报告人简介：

胡氏虎，华南理工大学化学工程学士，澳大利亚昆士兰大学环境工程硕士、化学工程博士。现任昆士兰大学副教授、澳大利亚联邦政府科研理事会工业学者。目前在基础研究方向上主要研究领域是微生物介导的碳氮及金属循环，在实用科技方向上是水处理过程中的资源回收和节能减排。已发表论文过百篇，包括:Nature, Science, Nature Microbiology, Nature Communications, Energy& Environmental Science, ISME J等。在EnvironmentalScience & Technology（Letters）和Water Research (X)期刊上发表超过60篇论文。主持的科研项目经费超过千万澳元。
