After more than 60 years of development,the School of Mathematics has "Mathematics" doctoral level disciplines and "Mathematics"disciplines postdoctoral, "Mathematics" as the first grade disciplineis the Guangdong provincial key disciplines;there are 4 undergraduate majors are Mathematics and Applied Mathematics(Guangdong Province Professional brand, national characteristic specialtyprofessional), Information Management and Information system (GuangdongProvince famous professional) , Information and Computer Science and Statistics.  There are 4 scientific research basesare  Institute of Statistics, Instituteof Mathematics, Center of Quantum Algebras, big data research center. TheSchool of Mathematics is also the teaching base of engineering mathematics.
