Several eminent guests were invited to the Confucius Institute's inaugural annual lecture at Lancaster University. Among them was the Executive Vice President of Peking University,Councillor John Shedwick and Dr Fu,Education Consul at the Consulate General of the PRC in Manchester. The lecture Assessing the Impact of Climate change and Intensive Human Activities on China's Agro-Ecosystem was given by Prof Laixiang Sun from SOAS,University of London.
