Condensed Matter and Quantum Information (CMQI) Team

    Time:2026-04-27

Founded by Professor Zhang Yuran and Professor Liu Tao in 2023, it focuses on theoretical research in condensed matter topological physics, quantum information and quantum simulation, non Hermitian physics, quantum optics, and other fields. The team and collaborators have completed research on multibody entanglement in quantum topological states, detection of multibody entanglement in non Gaussian entangled states, discovery of quantum multibody scratch states in lattice gauge fields, band calibration of topological quantum states, quantum simulation of high-order topological pumping, non Hermitian physics in high-order topological insulators and semimetals, non Hermitian topological Mott insulators, Anderson delocalization under super strong disorder, and chiral bound states in nonlinear waveguides. In the past five years, team members have undertaken 2 national level general projects, 3 provincial and ministerial level projects, participated in 1 national level key project, and published over 40 SCI papers in top international journals such as Physical Review Letters and Nature Communications. The team members won the national four young talents, participated in the the Pearl River Innovation Team of Guangdong Province and other honors. At present, the team has 8 doctoral students and 6 master's students.
