Personal profile
Dong Youzhong, male, graduated from South China University of Technology with a PhD in Materials Physics and Chemistry in July 2008. After graduation, I continued to engage in scientific research work and am currently an associate professor and master's supervisor at the School of Physics and Optoelectronics, South China University of Technology. I have been engaged in research on positive and negative electrode materials for lithium-ion batteries since pursuing my doctoral degree. From April 2011 to April 2012, under the guidance of renowned professor John B. Goodenough in the field of international lithium-ion batteries, I conducted postdoctoral research on LiMnPO4 cathode materials with olivine structure in my research group. Through experiments, I observed the MnPO4/LiMnPO4 two-phase interface that affects the electrochemical performance of the material, and improved the electronic conductivity of the material through Mg doping at the Mn site, which to some extent suppressed structural distortion caused by the Jahn Teller effect. So far, the applicant has published over 60 papers, including 48 SCI indexed papers that have been cited over 1000 times; Applied for 15 national invention patents (11 authorized), and led and participated in nearly ten projects. We are currently engaged in research on new energy materials such as lithium-ion battery materials and sodium ion batteries.
