    Personal profile

    Wei Xiaoming is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Physics and Optoelectronics, South China University of Technology. He is a National Outstanding Youth Talent and an overseas high-level introduced young talent. He serves as an editorial board member of the Optical Society of America's Optics Express journal (in the field of fiber lasers) and is a member of the 10th Basic Optics Professional Committee of China. He has published over 120 journal papers, including in prestigious journals such as Physical Review Letters, Nature Communications, Light: Science and Applications, and Science Advances. He holds 7 authorized US invention patents and over 30 Chinese patents. He was awarded the second prize of the National Technological Invention Award in 2023 and the Five-Year Excellent Achievement Award in Fiber Lasers from the Chinese Optical Engineering Society in 2023.
