To implement the training plan for students of the 2025 Applied Physics (Electronic Science Strong Foundation Program) class, and to provide necessary growth guidance and academic planning suggestions for students to quickly adapt to university life and learning, the School of Physics and Optoelectronics has assigned 10 outstanding growth mentors and academic mentors to the students of the 2025 Applied Physics (Electronic Science Strong Foundation Program) class. On March 5, 2026, the Mentor Meeting for the 2025 Applied Physics (Electronic Science Strong Foundation Program) Class was held in the 213 Lecture Hall of Building 18 on the Wushan Campus. The Dean of the School, Wu Hongbin, the Vice Dean, Wen Dehua, the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Ye Yujia, the growth mentors and academic mentors of the 2025 Strong Foundation Class, as well as all students of the 2025 Strong Foundation Class, attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Vice Dean Wen Dehua.

At the beginning of the meeting, Vice Dean Wen Dehua introduced each of the attending mentors to the students one by one. He also introduced the college's growth mentor and academic mentor systems, hoping that the students would make full use of the college's various resources and actively contact their mentors. He encouraged them to learn through growth, make good academic and academic development plans in their studies, and provide support and assistance for future learning and scientific research.
Next, Dean Wu Hongbin hoped that the students would actively communicate with their supervisors, pay attention to the development trends of their disciplines, grasp the cutting-edge developments in their fields, and lay a solid foundation for their future scientific research paths. Supervisor Zhao Yujun, the class teacher, encouraged the students to study diligently, delve deeply into their studies, communicate frequently with their supervisors, and cultivate a strong interest in learning and scientific research. Deputy Secretary Ye Yujia made a concluding speech at the meeting, hoping that the students would make full use of the various resources of the college to promote their academic development on the basis of mastering the courses in the training program, and lay a solid foundation for their future scientific research paths.
