Led by Professor Xie Bosun, we focus on cutting-edge scientific issues in the fields of electroacoustics, hearing, and hearing health. We conduct innovative research around specific application scenarios such as binaural spatial hearing, multi-channel spatial sound playback technology, multimedia audio technology, cochlear implants, hearing aids, automotive cabin acoustics, and acoustic smart wearables. The team has undertaken 4 national level scientific research projects and 5 provincial and ministerial level projects in the past 5 years. They have published more than 30 papers in top domestic and foreign journals in this field, such as JASA, Applied Acoustics, Trends in Hearing, JAES, and Journal of Acoustics. They have also been granted 6 Chinese invention patents, achieved 4 technological transformations of related achievements, and won 1 second prize for scientific and technological progress from the Ministry of Education. In addition, Professor Xie Bosun has published four monographs in both Chinese and English, including Head Related Transfer Functions and Virtual Listening Playback and Spatial Sound Principles. The left, middle, and right images in the following figure respectively show the Ambisonics playback system, HRTF measurement system, and EEG and hearing data testing system.
