The theoretical physics research team is led by Professor Feng Zhaoqing, focusing on the forefront of nuclear physics, advanced energy storage materials, high-precision isotope identification, key technologies for medical isotope production, nuclear astrophysics, gravity theory, black hole physics, biophysics and other disciplines. The team has undertaken over 10 national level scientific research projects and 2 provincial-level projects in the past five years, and has published more than 60 SCI papers in Physics Letter B, Progress in Particle and Nuclear Physics, and Physical Review series journals. The team is conducting cutting-edge research on nuclear science and technology applications in conjunction with the national major infrastructure under construction in Huizhou, Guangdong Province - High Intensity Heavy Ion Accelerator (HIAF) and Accelerator Driven Transmutation Research Device (CiADS). We focus on cultivating high-level talents and have guided 12 master's students and 8 doctoral students.
