About the speaker: Lei Dangxing, Professor of City University of Hong Kong, PhD and Provost Visiting Professor of Physics at Imperial College London, Academician of the Hong Kong Academy of Youth Sciences, winner of the National Science Foundation for Outstanding Young Scholars (Hong Kong and Macao) and the RGC Outstanding Young Scholars Programme Fund, National Science and Technology Expert of the Ministry of Science and Technology. He is mainly engaged in experimental research on polariton physics and nonlinear optics of low-dimensional quantum materials and nanostructures. He uses ultrafast spectroscopy and super-resolution imaging to study novel optical properties of low-dimensional materials, and explores their applications in novel micro-nano optoelectronic devices, high-resolution optical imaging, single-molecule quantum sensing, information encryption and processing, energy conversion, storage and energy saving. Since 2007 in Nature Communications, Science Advances, Physical Review Letters, Light: More than 220 academic papers have been published in first-class international journals such as Science & Applications, Nano Letters/ACS Nano, Advanced (Functional/Optical) Materials, and the h-index is 63. It has been cited more than 12,000 times. The three articles were respectively reported by Science magazine as Editor's Choice and Nature Materials magazine as Research Highlights. Five articles were selected into the Journal of Materials Chemistry A and Journal of Materials Chemistry C Emerging journals of the Royal Society of Chemistry Special issues for Investigators, Emerging Leaders of the British Physical Society Journal of Optics, Young Investigator of Wiley EcoMat Magazine and the list of Top 50 Most Read Nature Communications Articles of 2020 in Physics.
