    Personal profile

    Liang Wenyao, a professor, doctoral and master's supervisor, is a school-level training candidate under the Thousand, Hundred, and Ten Talent Cultivation Project of Guangdong Province. He is a visiting scholar at Iowa State University/Ames National Laboratory in the United States and a research member of the A-class scientific research team led by Professor Li Zhiyuan at South China University of Technology. He graduated from Sun Yat-sen University with a bachelor's degree in 2005 and a doctoral degree in 2010. Since 2010, he has been engaged in teaching and scientific research at the School of Physics and Optoelectronics, South China University of Technology. In recent years, he has presided over 3 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 4 provincial projects, and 3 basic research projects funded by the central universities; he has participated in 7 national and provincial projects. He has published more than 50 research papers in domestic and international academic journals such as Nanophotonics, Photonics Res., Phys. Rev. B, Opt. Lett., Opt. Express, Nanomaterials, J. Phys. D-Appl. Phys., EPL, and Acta Physica Sinica, with a total citation of more than 350 times; he has co-authored 2 textbooks; and he has won more than 20 teaching-related awards at the national, provincial, and university levels.

    Photonic crystal; topological photonics; optical metamaterials; micro-nano photonics.
