Personal profile
Deng Wenji, male, Han nationality, born in June 1964 in Hengyang, Hunan, Guangdong. Professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Physics and Optoelectronics, South China University of Technology. In his early years, he studied at Peking University, South China University of Technology, and Nanjing University, obtaining bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in physics respectively. He also went to work and study at the International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP, Triest) in Italy, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and the University of Maryland in the United States. Since June 1989, I have been teaching in the Department of Physics at South China University of Technology. I have been engaged in theoretical research and teaching in physics for a long time, leading and participating in more than 20 research projects, and publishing nearly a hundred papers on topics such as spintronics, physical properties of mesoscopic and low dimensional systems, Bose Einstein condensation, nonlinear impurity effects in solids, optical amplification and localization in disordered media, coherent backscattering of light, financial physics, compression phenomena in quantum and classical physics, and inverse problems in physics. Recent research has mainly focused on the electronic structure, quantum transport, and electromagnetic properties of low dimensional and mesoscopic systems.
Research directions
Electronic structure, quantum transport, and electromagnetic properties of low dimensional and mesoscopic systems.
