The ACS-SCUT  Macro Forum, co-hosted by South China University of Technology and ACS Publications, was held successfully at the Guangzhou International Campus from October 12 to 13,2026. The theme of the forum is From Molecular Innovation to Materials Revolution. SCUT Vice President Wu Bo, Academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Ma Yuguang and Tang Benzhong, and nearly 200 scholars and students from China and other countries attended this forum.

Delivering Presentations

Vice President Wu Bo delivered a welcome speech. He outlined the university’s progress in discipline development and research innovation and expressed his expectation to strengthen exchanges and collaboration between SCUT and top international academic platforms such as ACS Publications, so as to help the university continuously boost its disciplinary innovation capacity and internationalization of education. This year's program featured keynote and invited lectures, editor-author-reviewer networking, panel discussions, and a poster session, with a focus on key advances in:Biomacromolecules and Biomedical Materials,Innovations in Polymer Chemistry and Synthesis,Electro-, Magneto-, and Opto-Active Macromolecules.

ACS EiC Dialogue: A Conversation among Editors, Reviewers, and Authors in Macromolecular Science

Bringing together leading researchers, journal editors, and the next generation of polymer scientists, the forum provided a platform for sharing cutting-edge discoveries, discussing developments in scholarly publishing, and fostering new interdisciplinary collaborations. It promoted international academic exchange in polymer science and injected new momentum into molecule-driven innovation for materials Revolution.
