Abstract:
Both young and experienced professionals can work hard over many months or even years to achieve their goal, in making a new service, a new process or a new product. What should they do to ensure that they can protect their idea or invention? What can they do? How do they go about doing it? What are the costs to engineers, designers or inventors if they ignore valuable information on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)? This lecture is designed for anyone that is studying Engineering, Science, Business or even Research. You may be at a disadvantage if you have little or no knowledge of this area. The lecture will introduce, explain through examples, and provide a good overview of one of the most important subject areas in the developed and emerging economies of the world.
