Abstract:
This presentation will cover some new ideas that are emerging in our laboratories for designing organic semiconductors with unique properties. The seminar will be tailored to facilitate discussion and open possible collaborations with SCUT colleagues. The topics to discuss include the following:
i) Regioregular conjugated polymers with exceptional charge carrier mobilities (> 25 cm2/V.s).
ii) High open circuit voltage bulk heterojunction solar cells through control of conjugated polymer structure.
iii) Self-doped conjugated polyelectrolytes for thermoelectric applications.
iv) Highly ordered molecular semiconductors achieved via solution deposition: structural details, mechanism of formation and relevance to photovoltaic efficiencies.
