On April 2, 2025, the School of Civil Engineering and Transportation organized undergraduate students from the Engineering Management of 2021 to conduct graduation internships and alumni exchange activities in Shunde. Zhang Weijie, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, Yan Tiecheng, Deputy Dean of the School of Civil Engineering at Longdong University, Yan Hui, Director of the Department of Engineering Management, Wu Fan, Teacher of the Department of Engineering Management, Zheng Guoxiang, 2016 MEM alumnus and Deputy General Manager of the Wide Area Group Intelligent Domain Management Company, Liang Dingxi, Executive Vice President of the Shunde Alumni Association of South China University of Technology, and representatives of the alumni association attended the event together.

Under the organization of Zheng Guoxiang, Vice General Manager of Zhiyu Company, and Ma Minghui, Project Manager, teachers and students visited four projects including the DeGuan Zhongxing Technology Park project, the Tongfang RuiFeng headquarters base construction project, the China Railway Huadong Heavy Equipment Base project, and the Guangdong Honghuo Holdings Group headquarters park, and held an immersive on-site lecture.

Through on-site explanations, students have gained an understanding of the construction of modern fully automated equipment customized factories, the structure, performance, and excavation principles of double shield TBM hard rock excavators, as well as the characteristics of the simple and economical plain concrete process. They have further knowledge and understanding of the construction and management of modern industrial factories and industrial parks.

During the learning process, alumni had friendly exchanges and interactions with teachers and students, discussing industry development prospects together. Alumni provided suggestions on students' professional practice, career planning, and employment preparation. Finally, Vice General Manager Zheng Guoxiang shared on topics such as Intelligent Construction, Green Construction, and Industry Prospects and interacted with students to exchange and answer questions about their experiences during the visit and learning process.
