Program Aims:

The program is designed to cultivate professional and technical talents in naval architecture and ocean engineering who possess solid basic theories and systematic specialized knowledge in this field, are proficient in computer applications and a foreign language, have the ability to independently analyze and solve problems, can undertake theoretical research, experimental research and engineering design work of the major on their own initiative, and achieve an all-round development of morality, intellect and physical fitness.


  1. Ship and Offshore Structure Design and Manufacturing: Multidisciplinary Optimal Design of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering, R&D and Design of Floating Offshore Wind Turbine Foundations and Special Equipment, Hydrodynamics of Ships and Offshore Structures, Fatigue Analysis of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering Structures.

  2. Underwater Acoustic Engineering: Underwater Acoustic Signal and Information Processing, Underwater Acoustic Communication and Networking, Sonar Detection and Imaging.

  3. Marine Environment and Resources:Environmental Dynamics of Marine Engineering, Utilization of Marine Renewable Energy, Environmental Hydraulics of Estuarine Deltas and Coastal Zones.

Program Aims:

The program is designed to cultivate senior professionals in naval architecture and ocean engineering who possess a solid and comprehensive foundation in basic theories as well as systematic and in-depth specialized knowledge in the field, are familiar with the cutting-edge developments in naval architecture and ocean engineering, have strong computer application abilities and foreign language reading and writing skills, and are capable of independently conducting innovative scientific research. These professionals should be competent for teaching, scientific research, design, and other engineering and technical work, and achieve an all-round development of morality, intellect, and physical fitness.


  1. Ship and Offshore Structure Design and Manufacturing: Multidisciplinary optimal design of naval architecture and ocean engineering, R&D and design of floating offshore wind foundations and special equipment, and hydrodynamics of ships and offshore structures.

  2. Underwater Acoustic Engineering: Underwater acoustic signal and information processing, underwater acoustic communication and networking, and sonar detection and imaging.

  3. Marine Environment and Resources: Extreme marine engineering environments, environmental hydraulics, coastal zone water resources, and marine engineering materials.
