On June 9th 2015, Dr. Lau and 8 undergraduates and doctorial students from CityU paid a visit to SCUT with the aim of having a series of academic exchange activity on civil engineering. Apart from the academic exchange activity, CityU guests also visited the structural lab of the Civil Engineering Department. At the end of this visit, Dr. Lau gave a fantastic academic lecture, which brought the academic exchange activity to a successful end.

Hearing the 4th Academic lectures held by SCET to be delivered by Dr. Lau from CityU, many students interested in CityU and those wanting to know more about civil engineering went to the lecture. After the lecture, the face-to-face communication part began. During this part, Dr. Lau patiently answered questions from students in details; students from both universities exchanged ideas about the projects they have done; teachers from both universities discussed about cooperation stuff and put up with suggestions for the future cooperation. This academic report broadened students’ horizons to a large extent. Not only did Students gain rewarding experience, but also they became clearer about what to do with their further study in the future.
