Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Postdoctoral Researcher to join our dynamic research team in the field of Power Electronics. The successful candidate will contribute to cutting-edge research on next-generation power conversion systems, with potential applications in renewable energy integration, electric transportation, grid modernization, or high-efficiency power supplies. This is a full-time, fixed-term position with an initial duration of two years, renewable based on performance and funding availability.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct original research in power electronics, including topology development, control strategies, semiconductor device integration (e.g., SiC/GaN), thermal management, and system-level optimization.
Design, simulate, build, and test prototype power converters.
Publish high-impact journal and conference papers.
Collaborate with academic and industrial partners.
Mentor graduate and undergraduate students.
Contribute to proposal writing and project reporting.
Qualifications:
PhD in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a closely related field (awarded within the last three years or expected shortly).
Strong background in power electronic converter design, modeling, and control.
Hands-on experience with hardware prototyping, PCB design, and laboratory instrumentation (e.g., oscilloscopes, power analyzers).
Proficiency in simulation tools such as PLECS, PSIM, MATLAB/Simulink, or LTspice.
Excellent communication skills and a track record of peer-reviewed publications.
Experience with wide-bandgap semiconductors (SiC/GaN) and EMI/thermal considerations is highly desirable.
