实验室对研究工作水平的要求高（创新性与严谨性），研究开发工作强度较大；实验室一起工作的老师与学生都是历经千挑万选和重重磨练的优秀精英。因此，实验室不考虑基础差、缺乏自信、实践能力弱、抗压能力弱、缺乏团队精神、没有独立思考和沟通交流习惯的学生。由于每年报名的学生众多，为了师生能够更好地互相了解，实验室一般不接收临时报名申请的学生，有意到实验室读研究生的同学可参考下面注意事项提前准备。

The lab insists on a high standard of research work (innovation and rigor) and high-intensity research and development work. The teachers and students in the lab are excellent elites who have undergone thousands of selections and honings. Therefore, the lab will not enroll students with poor knowledge foundation, weak practical ability and insufficient resilienceor students lacking self-confidence, team spirit, and independent thinking and communication habits. There is a large number of students who apply to join the lab every year.To facilitate mutual understanding between teachers and students, the laboratory generally does not accept provisional application.Students who want to undertake postgraduate study in the lab can read the following requirementsand prepare in advance.

一、博士研究生

1. 实验室对于学生读博期间研究水平的要求较高，优先考虑对科学研究、学术研究有浓厚兴趣，思维活跃，表达严谨，有良好阅读、思维、实践与沟通习惯的学生。

2. 优先考虑用数学思考问题且语文能力强的学生。

3. 建议申请人在实验室参加至少半年的科研工作（线上或线下参与均可，优先考虑线下参与。实验室不提供食宿。参与有偿科研项目可获得报酬。），且须通过政府、学校与学院组织的官方考核获取入学资格，通过师生双向选择确认进入实验室读博士的资格。

4. 申请人须阅读实验室近年发表的论文（http://www2.scut.edu.cn/huanghan/fblw/list.htm），并提交一份研究和学习计划。

5. 实验室的博士研究生需在IEEE Transactions或同等水平的ACM期刊上发表（录用即可）至少两篇论文才能申请博士学位论文预答辩。

6. 实验室主要按照中国国家法定节假日放假，如果学生需要因为其他国家或地区的节假日而休假，应提前请假。

1. The lab sets ahigh standard of research work for Ph.D. students. Preference will be given to students with keen interest in scientific and academic research, active thinking, rigorous expression, and good habits of reading, thinking, practice and communication.

2. Preference will be given to students who think mathematically and have strong Chinese language ability.

3. Candidates are expected to participate in research activities in our lab for at least half a year (online or offline). Offline participation in research activities is preferred (The lab will not provide room and board. Candidates will be remunerated for participating in paid research projects). Students must pass official examinations administrated by the government,universities and colleges to gain admission. Students’ eligibility to enter the laboratory for their doctoral studies will be confirmed through a process of two-way selection between teachers and  students.

4. Candidates need to read recent papers published by Prof. Huang (http://www2.scut.edu.cn/huanghan/fblw/list.htm) and submit a plan for research and study.

5. Ph.D. students have to publish at least two papers in IEEE Transactions or ACM journals at a comparable levelbefore they can apply for pre-defense of doctoral dissertation. (Receiving notification of paper acceptance is enough.)

6. Ph.D. students in our lab are only entitled to official public holidays in China. If students need to take a vacation due to a holiday in another country or region, they should ask for leave in advance.

  二、学术型硕士研究生

1. 申请人须对科学研究和学术写作有浓厚兴趣，优先考虑用数学思考问题且语文能力强的学生。

2. 申请人须阅读实验室近年发表的论文（http://www2.scut.edu.cn/huanghan/fblw/list.htm），并提交一份研究和学习计划。

3. 建议申请人在实验室参加至少三个月的科研工作（线上或线下参与均可，优先考虑线下参与。实验室不提供食宿。参与有偿科研项目可获得报酬。），且须通过政府、学校与学院组织的官方考核获取入学资格，师生通过双向选择确认进入实验室读硕士的资格。

4. 实验室的学术型硕士生需在IEEE Transactions或CCF A类会议上发表（录用即可）至少一篇论文才能申请硕士学位论文预答辩。

5. 实验室按照中国国家法定节假日放假，如果学生需要因为其他国家或地区的节假日而休假，应提前请假。

1. 申请人须具备较强的计算机应用程序设计、开发与工程文档撰写的能力。优先考虑有企业工作经验或者实际软件开发经验的学生。

2. 申请人须阅读实验室近年发表的论文（http://www2.scut.edu.cn/huanghan/fblw/list.htm），并提交一份研究和学习计划。

3. 建议申请人在实验室参加至少三个月的科研工作（线上或线下参与均可，优先考虑线下参与。实验室不提供食宿。参与有偿科研项目可获得报酬。），且须通过政府、学校与学院组织的官方考核获取入学资格，师生通过双向选择确认进入实验室读硕士的资格。
