Research Experience and Interests

The main focus of our research contains: 1) The establishment and development of cell free reaction systemfor efficient expression, purification, function characterization, ligand screening and structure analysis of important drug targeted membrane proteins; 2) The designing of new antimicrobial peptides forindustrial production as well as development and preparation of high efficient, broad-spectrum and non-toxic antibacterial medicines; 3) The development of foods and products for removing heavy metals and free radical, anti-aging and anti-radiation; 4) The optimization of expression system from Escherichia coli, Pichia yeast, Bacillus subtilis and Lactococcuslactis for efficient expression of recombinant proteins; 5) The modification of thermophilic anaerobic bacteria and high density-fermentation to producebiofuel ethanol. Be supported by more than 10 projects and grants from government and industrial companies. Published 16 research papers and applied 7 patents.
