Research fields and main achievements
-Research fields
CRISPR/CAS9 genome editing, protein secretion mechanism and secondary metabolism regulation in filamentous fungi;
Genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics and bioinformatic researches in industrially used microorganisms;
Molecular breeding of high-yielding industrial organisms and synthetic biology.
Industrial application based on the above researches include: (1) Development and large scale production of industrial and medical proteins; (2) Development of novel enzyme preparation used in food, feedstuff, washing, energy, textile and medicine; (3) Characterization and application of microbiological natural active secondary metabolites; (4) Green manufacture of bulk biological products and traditional fermented products.
-Main achievements
I have been in charge of more than twenty research projects supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), Hi-tech Research and Development program of China (863 program), National Key Technology Research and Development Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, Key scientific and technological project in Guangdong Province, Natural science foundation of Guangdong province project for research team, Natural science foundation of Guangdong province project and Enterprise entrusted projects. And more than thirty articles have been published in high-level international academic journals including Nucleic acids research, Journal of Bacteriology and so on. I obtained four national authorized patents and the First prize of scientific and technological progress in Guangdong Province (rank second, 2011).
