The 14th  National Student Games concluded in Qingdao on the evening of July 17th. The athletes and coaches of SCUT worked hard together with other colleges and universities from Guangdong, winning the third place in the medal count. Particularly, the SCUT students won 12 golds, 4 silvers and 6 bronzes independently or jointly. The university won the President's Cup for the eighth time, the highest recognition of university sports, as well as the Sportsmanship Award. Zhu Min, the deputy leader of Guangdong delegation and the vice president of SCUT, visited the competition site to cheer for the athletes and staff.
